Study finds association between triclosan, osteoporosis

A study published by the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism has found an association between osteoporosis in women and triclosan, a chemical that had been used as an antimicrobial agent in toothpaste.

CDC committee: HPV vaccine could benefit adults up to 45

Texas Dental Association-backed fluoridation bill signed by governor

Dr. Matt Roberts, a general dentist in Crockett, Texas, heard from other dentists that some water engineers in the state had been unilaterally turning off the fluoride in their community’s water supply, with the public or even some local government officials unaware.

In a June 5 letter to HELP Chair Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., and Ranking Member Patty Murray, D-Wash., the ADA commended lawmakers on their commitment to improving transparency with the proposed Lower Health Care Costs Act.
