Dental organizations support bill to buoy loan repayment program

Eight dental organizations, including the ADA, have thanked several members of Congress for sponsoring legislation that would allow full-time faculty members participating in the Dental Faculty Loan Repayment Program to exclude from their income the amount of the loan forgiveness from their federal income taxes.

ADA spotlights oral cancer

The ADA is offering 2.5 hours of continuing education credit for the course, Oral Cancer Screening and Radiotherapy Morbidity Management, from Drs. Theresa Hofstede and Mark Lingen. Washington State Dental Association files complaint against Delta Dental

Seattle — After years of friction, the Washington State Dental Association and three of its member dentists filed a legal complaint Feb. 20 against Delta Dental of Washington, alleging that the latter’s board repeatedly and unlawfully rejected bylaw amendments passed by members and cancelled annual meetings required by law.

Deadline set for applicants for overseas dental care grant

Quip collaborates with ADA Foundation to help provide access to oral care

Electric toothbrush company quip has released a limited-edition toothbrush and is donating a portion of sales to help families in need. For each all-black quip brush sold, the company will donate $5 — up to a total of $250,000 — to help provide oral care access and education to underserved people in collaboration with the ADA Foundation.
