Teeth Whitening Is For Everyone

http://www.ukdentalcare.co/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/TEETH-WHITENING-pics-300x150.jpg

Teeth whitening is the cosmetic treatment for all sexes and ages

TEETH-WHITENING-picsToday, professional teeth whitening makes it possible to restore the whiteness and brightness of stained or discolored teeth in a way that is both convenient and affordable. Here are basic causes of staining and discoloration of teeth, as well as some of the teeth whitening choices presently available.

What is the cause of teeth whitening popularity?

Three basic factors contribute to stained or discolored teeth. They are cracked enamel on the surface of the teeth; eating foods and/or drinking beverages that are known to stain teeth – things like blueberries, coffee, etc.; and smoking. Smoking, in particular plays a large role in the discoloring of teeth over time.

Professional teeth whitening produces excellent results when it comes to treating stained or yellow teeth. Typically a professional whitening treatment will take about 15-60 minutes, employs a peroxide-based whitening gel that the dentist will apply to the patient’s teeth, and might, in the case of laser teeth whitening, utilize a small laser in order to activate the bleaching gel and make it more effective. Oftentimes it takes just one treatment to produce satisfactory improvement, although some patients, with more severe staining or discoloration, might require additional treatments before achieving the desired result.

In addition to treatments performed in a dental office, professional home whitening treatments are a popular option for some and involve the use of a home whitening kit that is provided by a dentist and used under his supervision. A typical kit contains a custom set of whitening trays and peroxide whitening solution. While not as effective as in-office treatment, and though requiring more applications over a longer period of time, professional home teeth whitening has proven to be a cost-effective option for those unable to afford the expense of professional treatment in a dentist’s office.

An even less expensive option than either professional in-office whitening or professional home whitening is the use of store bought do-it-yourself whitening kits. These kits are readily available over-the-counter and include products such as teeth whitening strips, whitening toothpastes, gels, and lower strength peroxide bleaching solutions.

How much more effective is professional teeth whitening than the whitening kits available over-the-counter? Whereas professional whitening can whiten teeth by up to 10 shades, the best home whitening products only manage a 1-3 shades improvement. Additionally, teeth whitening toothpastes take a very long time to work, and even then produce only slight results. And while whitening strips are somewhat more effective than whitening toothpastes, they produce uneven results. If you can afford it, professional teeth whitening is the way to go.

The bottom line is that nobody has to live with discolored teeth, not with all the teeth whitening options they have to choose from today. There is a treatment compatible with every budget, so everyone can enjoy whiter teeth and a brighter smile today.  For more info Uk Dental Care.
